How it works

Give it your material — pasted notes, a PDF, a Word document, lecture slides, a YouTube lecture or a recording. Files are read in your browser, and long texts are trimmed to their most important sentences before anything is sent. The AI then writes everything in one go: a list of key points, a set of flashcards and a multiple-choice quiz with explanations. Switch between the three tabs as you revise.

Three sizes

Quick gives a short summary, a few cards and a five-question quiz. Standard is a good default for a lecture or chapter. Exam prep makes more cards and a longer quiz.

What do I get?

Key-point notes, flashcards and a multiple-choice quiz with explanations, all made in one step from the material you give it. You can switch between the three tabs without waiting for anything new.

Which files can I use?

You can paste text, or upload a PDF, Word (.docx) or PowerPoint (.pptx) file. The text is read in your browser. You can also paste a YouTube video’s transcript, or upload an audio or video recording of a lecture.

How do I use a YouTube video?

Paste its transcript: on the YouTube video, click the ⋯ (More) → Show transcript, copy the text, and paste it into the YouTube tab. This works for any video that has captions. With only a link, we try to read the captions from your browser first, but YouTube usually blocks this. There is also an experimental option where the AI works from the video link; it may not work for all videos or when the AI is busy, and it uses one of the day’s audio/video packs.

Is my material stored?

No. Text is sent to an AI provider to write your flashcards, quiz and notes, and is not saved by ParaFree. Audio and video are sent to our AI provider to be transcribed, and your flashcards, quiz and notes are made from the transcript; ParaFree does not save the recording or the transcript. If the backup route is used, the file is uploaded to the AI provider so it can listen to it, then deleted once your pack is made.

Can I trust the answers?

The AI is told to use only what is in your material, but it can still make mistakes. Check anything important against your notes or textbook before an exam.
