Who This Is For

You have a finished Word document — an assignment, a lab report, a literature review or a work report — and the wording needs a fresh pass. Copying it into a text box would strip out the styles your lecturer or manager expects, and pasting the result back means fixing every heading and list by hand. Uploading the .docx avoids all of that: the file you download is your original document with new wording in place.

It suits students rewording their own drafts, writers reusing a report for a new audience, and anyone who needs to paraphrase a Word document without losing formatting.

What Stays the Same

ParaFree edits the text inside your body paragraphs and leaves the rest of the file alone:

Step by Step

  1. Open the ParaFree paraphraser and click Upload File.
  2. Choose your .docx file. The text appears in the input box so you can check it.
  3. Pick a mode (Standard, Fluency, Formal, Simple or Creative) and click Paraphrase Now. Long documents are processed in parts, so there is no word limit.
  4. Read the result. You can edit it directly in the output box.
  5. Click Word · keeps format to download the .docx with your original formatting.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Will my headings and tables be paraphrased?

No. Headings and tables are left exactly as they are, so only the body paragraphs get new wording. This keeps your document structure and any table data unchanged.

Can I upload an older .doc file?

Not directly. The older .doc format cannot be read in the browser, so open it in Word or Google Docs, save it as .docx and upload that file instead.

What happens to links, citations and my reference list?

They are protected. Citations in the text are kept as written, paragraphs that contain a hyperlink are left as they are so the link keeps working, and a reference list at the end is returned unchanged.

Does the downloaded file open in Google Docs or LibreOffice?

Yes. You get back your own .docx file with the wording replaced, so it opens anywhere your original did, including Word, Google Docs and LibreOffice.
